Reminiscing Bohol...Part 2

Here's the second installment of the Bohol tour I posted last week.

Last week was about the Sagbayan Peak in the town of Sagbayan, Blood Compact Site in Barangay Bool in Tagbilaran, and the Man-made Forest in Bilar...

Now, let's explore Bohol's town of Loboc...

* Hanging Bridge (Loboc)
The bamboo bridge is more or less 40 meters long which crosses the Sipatan River.

Please click on Read More>> for the rest of the post.. ;)

If you're afraid of heights (and falling), this is gonna be an adventure for you. ;)

On the other side of the bridge is a souvenir shop and you can also have some fresh coconut...

Just pray for a good weather the entire day so as not to ruin your tour...

* Loboc River Cruise (Loboc)
Enjoy lunch on one of the floating restaurants cruising along the Loboc River. The buffet meal costs around Php400-Php500.

The food might not be that amazing but what's special about this is the cruise itself...

This trip is really refreshing...

...with the view of lush green landscapes, tropical palms and trees...

...have a sumptuous lunch and breathe the fresh air while being serenaded by a resident singer or a small band...

There's also a platform set up along the way where a rondalla group are dancing, singing and playing strings...

The cruise takes about an hour and at the end before the u-turn is the Busay falls...
This marks point where the floating restaurant cannot go any further, so here they stay for a while to allow the guest to look at the landscape...

Oh, the raw beauty of nature...
Then it's time to return to the boat's station. Then off to the next stop....

* Tarsier Sanctuary (Loboc)
Your Bohol trip won't be complete without seeing these cute creatures -- one of the things that made Bohol famous. The tarsier is considered as the world's smallest primate. An endangered species. Please do NOT use flash when taking pictures! It is said to harm these fragile creatures. :(

Face-in-hole!

A souvenir shop at the Tarsier area..I always buy the ref magnets and key chains ^_^

soooooooooooo cute!!!

Honey on a staring contest with the tarsier...=p

I hope the government of Bohol is doing something to prevent their extinction. Otherwise, our grandchildren and great grandchildren might not see them anymore.

Sigh...doing this post just makes me want to go back to Bohol real soon! *money, money, money, come to Mama! =p*

Hey..got to go for now and play with Gabriel (I've been in front of the computer, writing this post, for more than 4 hours now =p). Please do check out the next installment of my Bohol countryside tour... ;)

Hope this week's treating you well so far! (",)
